Thoughts on the Top 10:
- Nate McLouth-$34.20-I'm still a skeptic on his ability to hit for average, but this last hot streak has impressed me greatly. He's 10 for his last 24 with 4 HR, 1 SB, 11 R and 9 RBI. If you're planning on selling, now is probably the peak of his value. If he keeps this going for a few more weeks, I will reverse my position, however. Sell.
- Pat Burrell-$28.89-Just 5 for his last 21, Burrell is slowly coming back to earth. His average will continue to regress, and his value will come down with it. Sell.
- Josh Hamilton-$27.77-I bought on Hamilton last week, and he's done well in the week since. He went 9 for his last 25 with 2 HR and 9 RBI. This guy is looking more legit as a top-tier OF by the week. Buy.
- Carl Crawford-$26.43-Just doing what he normally does - scoring runs, stealing bases, and hitting near .300. Buy.
- Carlos Quentin-$26.03-Quentin continues to amaze. He shoots up into the Top 10 this week after going 9 for his last 22 with 2 HR and 2 SB. He's still a little over his head at this value, for the reasons noted by Tim Dierkes. He'll be good, but not this good. Sell.
- Manny Ramirez-$23.93-The Sell tag from last week is looking good. Man-Ram is just 2 for his last 20, but he did steal a base. I'm still thinking he'll regress further from here. Sell.
- Alex Rios-$22.33-With 7 swipes already this year, Rios is compensating for only 3 HRs so far. This is right around the neighborhood I expect him to be in. Buy.
- Xavier Nady-$21.50-X-Nad is just being a pest now. I've been selling on him for weeks, yet still he remains. Regardless, he's 5 for his last 20, and I don't think I'll shock anyone by still being a skeptic on a $20+ season for Nady. Sell.
- Josh Willingham-$20.89-He was having a great season before hitting the DL with a lower back strain. Regardless, he's not going to hit .341 all season, so you'll still want to move him if you can. Sell.
- B.J. Upton-$20.21-Over the past week, both Upton Brothers are 5 for 18. A strange note, but Bossman Junior is putting up solid numbers on the season. He's yet to really breakout this year, but he'll do so at some point. Buy.
